Rabeya Naznin, RP(Q) Student Therapist

Rabeya Naznin is on the route to completion of her practicum for her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology degree at Yorkville University. She identifies herself as a brown, queer cis woman. Rabeya is keen to attempt an integration of Humanistic therapy and a Cognitive-Behavioral approach with an emphasis on Mindfulness. She adopts psychodynamic approaches that relate deeper psychological tactics and enhance mental well-being. She has a special interest in dealing with life transitions, anxiety issues, depression, eating disorders, and helping individuals with multicultural backgrounds. She has experience in working with anxiety and depression at mental healthcare units.

Outside of her practicum, Rabeya works as a physician assistant supporting patients from various socioeconomic levels at a primary healthcare clinic. She speaks Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu, in addition to English, and provides mental health supports virtually to overseas (South Asian countries) through online platforms. She enjoys traveling, reading novels, cooking, gardening, meditation, and spending quality time with friends and family.
