Marlise’s professional practice centres on providing supervision for therapists using a supportive and reflective orientation that integrates intuition, creativity, analysis, precision, deep respect for the therapist, clients, and process, and a reverence for both curiosity and kindness.

Supervision is a collaborative mentorship tailored to the unique needs of each therapist/supervisor and their clients. Marlise is particularly passionate about helping launch the practices of new therapists, supporting other seasoned therapists seeking greater depth in their therapeutic relationships, and assisting therapists who are— like Marlise— racialized in contending with the unique challenges of our role. She has extensive experience in supervising the work of eating disorder clinicians, and especially welcomes therapists coming from psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, compassion-focused, trauma-informed, somatic, interpersonal, depth-oriented, attachment-focused, anti-oppression, and Contemplative Psychotherapy orientations.

Supervised therapists and supervisors in private or community practice must have a graduate degree and either be registered or qualifying for registration with their appropriate regulatory body. Supervision is offered individually, dyadically, and in small group sessions.
