Meet Christine! Low-cost counselling online starting January 2022
Christine McPhail is completing her practicum for her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree with Yorkville University. Christine identifies as a white, straight-sized, and queer cis woman. Christine uses an integrative approach combining humanistic, cognitive, and behavioural approaches with an emphasis on self-compassion and mindfulness. Her practice is grounded in principles of trauma-informed care, social justice, health at every size (HAES), and person-centered care. Christine is especially interested in supporting folx in the LGBTQIA2S+ community, those struggling with mood concerns, anxiety, depression, stress management, life transitions, grief and disordered eating and body image issues.
Outside of practicum, Christine works as a Registered Dietitian in private practice and she also enjoys dancing (ballet in particular), practicing yoga/meditation, reading, re-watching favourite movies, painting/drawing, hiking, travelling and exploring the local food, event and art scenes!
Please note that Christine has now completed her practicum placement at the Meilan Counselling Clinic and can be contacted through the Referral Directory.
