Marlise Meilan, MA, RCC, CCC, RP has a masters degree in counselling psychology and is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She is also a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and she has been a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors since 2008. She possesses training and expertise in working with:

She has been a visual artist, family advocate, crisis worker, program administrator, yoga therapist, and meditation instructor. Marlise is committed to providing caring, nonjudgmental support for adult individuals, couples, family members, and groups. In therapist-speak, she operates from an integrative cognitive, somatic-emotional, imaginal, and interpersonal orientation (meaning, she works with her clients' thoughts, behaviours, feelings as felt in the body, and creativity, within the context of a healthy therapeutic relationship), and most of her training has been in body-mind and mindfulness-based therapies including Hakomi and Contemplative (Buddhist) Psychotherapy.
Marlise's personal interests include traveling, creating expressive art, yoga + neuroscience, and exploring contemporary art, design, music, food, literature, and film. She has received over 20 years of talk therapy, is biracial, and an LGBT ally.
