Most of Marlise's training has been in body-mind and mindfulness-based therapies including Hakomi and Contemplative (Buddhist) Psychotherapy, but she loves to learn, so she's also studied sex therapy, expressive arts therapies, crisis and disaster mental health, yoga psychotherapy, couples therapy, and interdisciplinary eating disorders treatment, amongst other topics and methods.
Personally, she loves traveling, creating expressive art, practicing yoga, hiking, and exploring contemporary art, design, music, food, literature, and film. Marlise knows therapy helps, having received over 20 years of it, herself. She is biracial and an GLBTIQ ally.
